Rafting Váh Liptov

This section of Váh can be rafted from Červený Kút (confluence of Black and White Vah) near the village of Kráľova Lehota to the hydroelectric power plant near the village of Uhorská Ves. Červený Kút is located approximately 5 km east of the town Liptovský Hrádok, towards the mountain crossing Čertovica.

The route runs alongside the town of Liptovský Hrádok, continues along Borová Sihoť autocamp, village Podtúreň and the end had at Uhorská Ves.

Rafting

This weir is among the less demanding and families with children can enjoy it too. You can see Váh from the same point of view, as old rafters from Liptov did at the end of 19th and at the begining of the 20th century, when there were common rafts from felled timber.

Equipment

During the colder or more rainy period is also recommended to use waterproof jacket and neoprene boots. In warmer periods sufficient neoprene shorts, sandals and T-shirt. Helmet and lifejacket are also a necessity on this rafting. Helmet mainly because of lots of long branches and fallen trees across a river.

Limits

This weir is limited only by sufficient water levels, which is usually enough throughout the season rafting.
