Hron River rafting is mainly in the area between the villages Nemecká and Šálková. Distance you can go rafting on the boats, is about 15 km. The river flows through beautiful, forested area of central Slovakia.

Rafting

Start is located near the Nemecká village, about 25 km east of the county town of Banská Bystrica and about 20 km west of Brezno.

Rafting Hron in this section is very suitable for less experienced rafters who for joy do not need to raft fast and dangerous river.

Equipment

Waterproof neoprene jacket and shoes are required for any rafting. In warmer periods sufficient neoprene shorts, sandals and T-shirt can be enought. Lifejacket and helmet is important on easier rafting as well.
